Veterans Day Assembly
Thank you to everyone who attended Mt. Stuart's annual Veterans Day Assembly on November 5th. It was a special time of honoring our veterans and recognizing our very own Jim Carlson who deploys for Afghanistan on November 8th. Best of Luck Jim! To see photos from the assembly, CLICK HERE. Blue Star Service Banner
It is a military tradition for families, businesses & organizations who have loved ones, employees, or members deployed in active duty oversees to hang a Blue Star Service Banner in their window until those serving return back home. In recognition of our own Jim Carlson, Mt. Stuart has hung a Blue Star Banner in the front window of the school. Likewise, this banner shall remain on our website until Jim's return. For more information on the Blue Star Service Banner, CLICK HERE.

BOOK FAIR COMING!
Another Scholastic Book Fair is coming our way. The Book Fair will be in the Mt. Stuart East Wing on Thursday and Friday, December 3rd & 4th. We will be open for shopping on both days from 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM. The value of a good book is priceless. Don't miss this opportunity for some great Holiday Shopping! For more information and a preview of some of the expected titles visit our Bookfair Website at:

LOG-IN NOTICE
The Personal Log-In box to the left is for teachers and staff logging in to work on their classroom websites. Students, parents, and other guests do not need to log-in to view any of the features on the Mt. Stuart website.

HEALTH ALERT!
With the Swine Flu (H1N1) concern around us and teachers and students back together in close quarters, it is time to once again be worried about germs and the spread of disease. In light of that Mt. Stuart is proud to present: WHY DON'T WE DO IT IN OUR SLEEVES. A humorous instructional video on proper cough techniques. To view the video click here.

READING COUNTS
Mt. Stuart has instituted a new reading program called Reading Counts which allows students to earn points as they take and pass tests on their comprehension of library books that they read. For instructions on how to find library books according to their Reading Counts Level or Point Value, or to find out the "Lexile" of a book, CLICK HERE.
